Introducing PrideReads

Indy Pride is proud to announce PrideReads, a new community book club celebrating queer literature and the readers who love it. Launched in partnership with Indianapolis-based Tomorrow Bookstore, PrideReads brings together queer readers across Indianapolis for guided discussion, genuine connection, and stories that reflect the full range of queer experience.

Books have always been a lifeline for queer people. A place to find ourselves, imagine new possibilities, and know we are not alone. PrideReads is built on that belief, creating a space where those stories get the conversation they deserve.

The inaugural session features Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin, one of the most enduring and powerful works of queer literature ever written. Board Chair Dr. Alex Richardson will host the discussion on Monday, April 6 at 7:30pm at Tomorrow Bookstore in Indianapolis. PrideReads attendees receive 10% off their copy of the featured title at Tomorrow, so pick up your book and start reading.

PrideReads sessions will be held regularly throughout the year, with each gathering centered on a new title and open to all queer readers and allies. Whether you are a lifelong bookworm or just looking for a new way to connect with community, there is a seat at the table for you.

More information and an RSVP for the April 6 session are available here.
