What Makes Indy Stand Apart?

Indianapolis Int'l Airport

Opened in 2008, the $1.1-billion Indianapolis International Airport (IND) dazzles and delights with its space, light, and ease for the nearly nine million passengers who use it annually.

Voted ‘Best Airport in North America‘ four years running by the Airports Council International, our airport boasts premier ticketing, baggage, security, and ground transportation amenities that facilitate a quick and easy experience for travelers.

This InterPride 2017 supporting sponsor understands that world-class travelers deserve a world-class facility. And the Indianapolis International Airport delivers, with nearly $4 million in original art by 15 artists, a shopping/dinning experience that embodies local flare, and top-notch ADA accessibility that guarantees no traveler is left out or unduly encumbered.

Unparalleled Connectivity

Already boasting one of the most walkable downtowns in the country, much of Indianapolis’ recent growth and development has centered around sustainability, including green transit options.

Indianapolis’ connectivity, walkability, and convenience makes planning easy, keeps things affordable, and ensures a memorable and productive experience for attendees by keeping them engaged and entertained long after the meetings end.

Indy’s strategic design places the convention center and 7,100 downtown hotel rooms in the heart of the downtown, surrounded by 250 restaurants, attractions, and nightlife options. The nation’s largest urban state park, James Beard Award recognized chefs, and world-class cultural amenities are all just steps away.

Biking

Removing a lane of vehicular traffic through the core of the downtown and replacing it with a bike and pedestrian friendly greenway earned recognition as the “biggest and boldest move of any American City” from New York City based Project for Public Spaces.

Opened in 2013, the $63 million, 8-mile urban trail connects the convention center and hotels with dining, shopping, and attractions in six cultural districts.

In fact, the Cultural Trail anchors Indy’s new Pacers Bikeshare program: $8 will secure a 24-hour day-pass at 26 convenient stations around town, housing a total 250 bikes for explorations at your own pace. Bicycle rentals are also available at the Bike Hub at City Market and Wheel Fun Rentals in White River State Park.

White River State Park

Located downtown, the White River State Park is the largest urban state park in the country, within a stone’s throw from the Indianapolis Zoo, the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art, Victory Field, and much more.

Attractions Close to White River State Park:

• Indiana State Museum and IMAX Theater
