PrideReads: Long Island Girls

Long Island Girls follows Susan from an awkward seventeen year old on Long Island to a woman in her mid thirties carving out a life in Brooklyn's indie music scene. At the center of it all is Eliza, a first love who keeps resurfacing across a decade of dating apps, career shifts, and unfinished business, even as Susan builds real friendships and steadier ground around her.

Gabrielle Korn writes with a sharp eye for the specific ache of coming of age online in the early 2000s, and for how first loves can leave a shadow that follows us for years. It's a story about growing into yourself, the people who help you get there, and the ones who linger long after they should.

Join us for this month's PrideReads meeting as we talk through Susan's journey, the pull of nostalgia, and what it means to finally let go of the almosts.

Pick up your copy at Tomorrow Bookstore ahead of time, or come as you are. All you need is a willingness to talk.
